Curious
Peeks first, thinks later.
👋 Peek-a-Boop!
The little fish with a bobber on his head.

Boop is a small round fish from Sunny Pond who was born curious. One evening a bobber dropped into the water right next to him — red, white, bobbing — and instead of swimming away he peeked at it, nudged it, and it stuck on his head like a hat. Since then Boop bobs. He has never left the pond, so every sea you sail to is a sea Boop sees for the first time through your eyes. His one wish is to find out where the Moon sleeps; he suspects it hides behind the lily pads, or the bridge, or the corals — and he is always a little bit right. He says one word when something surprises him: “boop”.
Peeks first, thinks later.
His face can be surprised or sleepy, never sad or cross.
He cheers what you did, by name.
A peekaboo hello when you come back, sometimes with a memory: “Remember the Big One?”
At most one pointer a day, and the button it points at sparkles. Then he is quiet.
The missions are his wish list, in first person: “I wish for 3 bubbles popped”. A finished wish is a wish come true — never a timer.
Your best moments: the first catch, the first Big One, the first Wonder fish, every trick he learned.
On every fish card and in the tank, one true sentence about the real animal.
On the result screen, one line that names it: “☀️ 3 stars!”
New in 1.3
Since 1.3 the sea tells a story: one icon line on every level card, a chapter strip when you arrive in a sea and one when you finish it, and six-word quips in the tank. Boop stays the only mascot — nobody else speaks on the home screen, in a round or anywhere near a price.
The lead. His wish — where does the Moon sleep? — is the spine of the story, answered in Space.
The old fisher who dropped the bobber on Boop’s head. Mentor of the pond and the lake; never caught a thing in forty years.
A vain pirate catfish, “greatest collector afloat”, always one peek too late — his boots are the Dash junk, his gull is Gully. Pirate Week is his.
The Coral Bay lighthouse keeper with the dry wit. Her beam sweeps levels 35 and 36, Pearl Time sails on her lantern boat, and Lighthouse Night is hers.
The mermaid, Poseidon’s herald, who would rather play hide-and-seek. The anemones are her game, her call is the galleon’s second beat, and she announces the Moon Tides.
The sea’s king. From Coral Bay he sets one trial per sea, watches, never punishes, and crowns you Sea King at level 72. A trident, a hand of water, a crown of foam — never a face.
The memory of the sea and keeper of its legends. Every sea’s fourth level is “Grandpa says…”, and he surfaces once a week.
The Deep Sea’s local: enormous, eight-armed, shy — she turns the lights off to hide. Her BOO is the flash on level 58, her hug is level 60.
The astronaut fish who built an aquarium in orbit so fish could see the Moon up close. She answers Boop’s wish.
Two penguins on the iceberg who never speak: they cheer, slide and applaud.
Twelve titles follow the chapters, from Pond Peeker at level 7 to Sea King at level 72 — the same wording for every player. Ten legend cards, one per launch, carry a real-world fact in Grandpa’s telling.
Boop learns by your fishing. Nothing he learns is ever lost.
Six pieces, one per sea. Finish a sea's first level and Boop finds its piece. Wearing nothing is always fine.

Boop has a constitution. In plain words:

Goodnight, Boop 🌙
The storybook
“Boop and the Peekaboo Moon”
Boop cannot sleep and sets out to find where the Moon sleeps. Six chapters, one per sea, and a goodnight page — the chapters unlock as you play.
Every chapter has three page-turns: Boop arrives, then “Peek…”, then BOO! — and you say the BOO. Quiet hours can be set in Settings; in those hours the last page ends with “Goodnight, Boop 🌙”.
The whole storybook can be printed from Settings.

He lives on his island in Sunny Pond, right where the first level starts.
