Boop, the little fish with a bobber on his head
The fish card of a named clownfish: Common, caught eight times, Coral Bay, and the fact read by Boop with Feed here and Favourite buttons

Meet a fish

Tap a fish and it swims to the front. Its card rises from the bottom of the screen:

  • Its given name, if it has one
  • The species
  • Rarity
  • How often you caught it
  • Its home sea
  • A true fact, read by Boop 🎓
🎓 Boop says · Clown Fizz

Clownfish live safely inside stinging anemones — the sting can't hurt them.

Feed

Tap the water and three flakes sink. The nearest fish darts over and bites within a second.

Feeding is free and unlimited. There is no hunger, no mood bar and nothing to keep alive — the fish are always fine.

The first feed of a day earns a “Fed today ✓” chip. It is a happy mark, nothing more: it never counts down and an unfed tank is never mentioned.

No typing anywhere. Names never leave the device.

Favourites

Tap ❤️ on a fish card to make it a favourite. Up to three favourites always get a place in the tank and swim in front, biggest and brightest.

Let it swim free ⇄ Call back

A fish can leave the tank and come back any time. The collection keeps it either way.

Place anything anywhere

No more fixed spots. Tap where a piece goes and it lands there; arrange mode lets you drag it, flip it or tidy the whole tank with one tap. The sand holds about nine pieces, the reef shelf two more, and a box keeps everything that waits.

Terrain is a piece too: sand hills, a reef shelf, a cave and a pier change the floor itself, and the fish swim over and around them.

The catalogue

Five tiers from the reef to the abyss, every piece priced in gems from fishing. The two late tiers, Pirate and Abyss, open with stars, and their rows say how many. Nothing in the catalogue changes how a fish bites.

Finishes

A finish stays with its piece wherever it stands: gild the treasure chest, grow crystals on the kraken. A few finishes are earned in events — the lighthouse’s moon beam on Lighthouse Night, the whale statue’s song in the Whale Migration, the pirate chest’s treasure gleam in Pirate Week.

Catch every fish of a sea and its landmark piece takes its place on the harbour shelf.

The tank as a harbour

The harbour shelf

Finish a sea and its landmark stands on the shelf above the water line, left to right: island, boathouse, lighthouse, iceberg, porthole, rocket. A skyline of where you have been that never costs a floor spot.

Cave naps

Between eight in the evening and six in the morning your favourites take turns napping in the cave. Tap a sleeper and it wakes to meet you; the next favourite takes the spot.

Album frames

Each finished page of the Sea Album — species, visitors, skies, events, crew — earns a frame for the tank wall. Frames are never sold.

A visitor on the rim

At most one cast member a day sits on the rim, never over the fish: Marlin’s rowboat, Lila’s lantern glow during Pearl Time, Blackfin’s periscope, Marina on Moon Tide days, Pip & Pop on the ice ledge, two Kraken tentacle tips, Nova’s tiny rocket, Grandpa on his ledge. Tap one for a six-word quip; none of them ever asks for anything.

Visiting

Switch the buddy features on and your buddies can visit your tank, and you theirs. A visit is a read-only picture: decoration ids and positions under a random id, kept 90 days, no text, no names.

In a buddy’s tank you can feed one flake and leave a wave; the host sees “… waved” beside your sea-name, never your nickname.

Boop in the tank

Boop stands on the sand and watches the nearest fish. Tap him for a trick; every fifth tap he whispers a real fish fact.

When a new fish arrives he waves, says “🏠 This is your spot!” and reads its fact.

Tank time

At most one gentle pointer a day: name your favourite, a spot for your piece, or feed time. The button sparkles, that is all.

Nothing is ever due, nothing reminds you, and an unfed tank is never mentioned. Done or not done — Boop is happy either way.
